Photographs tell a story. Portraits, in my opinion, definitely share a life, even if sometimes people are making up the story as they observe and interpret an image, they've recognized something in that image that opened their eyes.
Henri Cartier-Bresson refers to the camera as a Machine Gun, it's my new favorite metaphor. He says this because it can be a weapon, a sketch book, anything. It is my medium of choice and my weapon of choice for getting what ever message or feeling I may have out, to share with the world.

A word on portraiture

Away we go
This is one of my favorite new images. I have my moments of falling out, but it's great to get back into the groove. I love seeing something and going for it and the result being just what I'd hoped for. This person is a total stranger, I was just shooting along fifth ave right along Central Park, observing the world.
